Amy
LaCivita |
Amy LaCivita is the Vice President
of Contracts at Dimensions International, Inc. (DI).
Ms. LaCivita has the executive authority and responsibility
in the company for contracts, subcontracts, purchasing
services, government property, teaming agreements, nondisclosure
agreements, consulting agreements and cost proposals.
Since joining DI in 1997, Ms. LaCivita
has been instrumental in obtaining the GSA Federal Information
Technology Schedule and the GSA Logistics Worldwide
Schedule, resulting in an annual revenue for DI averaging
$7 million. She also has the driver in implementing
the purchasing system for the company in Costpoint,
and in standardizing agreements and processes resulting
in a streamlined contracts function. She serves as the
Small Business Administrator establishing goals and
ensuring compliance with all Small Business Plans. She
provides business counsel to DI’s Management Board
and Program Managers regarding contracting and business
issues while providing leadership and direction to her
team.
Prior to joining DI, Ms. LaCivita was
the Subcontracts Manager at Booz-Allen & Hamilton,
Inc., managing a staff of eight and a portfolio of
contracts with
a ceiling value in excess of $100 million. Under her
watch, Booz-Allen successfully passed the Contractor
Purchasing System Review.
As the Senior Subcontract Administrator
at TRW (now Northrop Grumman), Ms. LaCivita formed a
continuous process improvement team to reduce the contract
closeout cycle time. As a result of the team’s
efforts, the time a closeout of a contract was reduce
by half. Her team’s achievement was recognized
when they were awarded the TRW Systems Integration Group’s
East Division Continuous Process Improvement Award in
1994.
Before beginning her career in contract
administration, Ms. LaCivita was a music teacher in
the Prince George’s
County, Maryland public school systems. While teaching
she was voted Outstanding Teacher of the Year at Gwynn
Park High School in Prince Georges County.
Ms. LaCivita graduated summa cum laude
earning a B.A. in Education from The Ohio State University.
She also holds a Certificate in Contracts and Procurement
from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Science
in Technology Management from the University of Maryland.
She is an active member of the National Contract Management
Association and serves the community as a member of
the City of Fairfax Band, the Virginia Grand Military
Band, and the Cathedral Brass. |
